School Chaplaincy Gathering
Join with the St Benet's Chaplaincy Team as we find out about the latest research, resources, news and stories related to school chaplaincy. Booking for this free event now open.
The School Chaplaincy Gathering is an opportunity to hear inspiring stories of how churches are connecting with schools to enable children and young people to flourish and explore faith. There will be an opportunity to hear about the latest research and resources and chat to others who are working in schools. The event is being hosted by the Diocese of Norwich Children, Youth and Families Team and Integrate Youth for Christ as part of their St Benet’s Chaplaincy Project.
Over the past three years the St Benet’s Chaplaincy Project has been developing a school chaplaincy team across multiple schools in the St Benet’s Multi Academy Trust . The project is part funded by the Church of England Growing Faith Foundation and the Diocese of Norwich. The project is run by Integrate Youth for Christ who have been running youth activities and supporting churches across South Norfolk for over 15 years.
The November 25 gathering is open to anyone who volunteers in their local school, whether as part of a chaplaincy team or on their own, or is interested in hearing more about the impact of school chaplaincy. We are also delighted to welcome our speaker, Dr Josh Hunt, the Growing Faith Chaplaincy Specialist and are looking forward to hearing from him.
Please book on if you would like to join us on Friday 21st November from 9.30am-12.30am at Diss Methodist Church and there will be light refreshments at coffee time, so let us know if you have any dietary requirements.
Future Dates for School Chaplaincy Gatherings are: Monday 2nd March at Diocesan House, Easton and Thursday 11th June, venue tbc. Please note the change of day for the June gathering from a Friday to a Thursday, after feedback that some are unable to attend Mondays or Fridays.
