Area Youth and Schools Worker

We are looking for an enthusiastic and mission-minded person with a heart for young people, to work in partnership with local churches and schools. The role will include running youth cafes, lunchtime clubs, mentoring and leading a chaplaincy team.
Integrate Youth for Christ are passionate about seeing young people’s lives being changed by Jesus in the south Norfolk and north Suffolk area, with our office based in Diss.
Area Youth and Schools Worker
Part-time – 16 hours a week.
The Area Youth and Schools Worker will have responsibility for maintaining and developing our work mostly in the area of Diss and the surrounding villages along with involvement with other Integrate Youth for Christ events and residentials.
The salary for this post will be £10,291 per annum (full-time equivalent of £24,121 per annum) depending on experience and qualification. As the majority of our work is term time, there will be the opportunity to accrue approved ‘time off in lieu’ hours which can be taken during the school holiday periods.
Commencing September 2025
There is a genuine occupational requirement that the role holder is a committed Christian in accordance with Part 1 of Schedule 9 of the Equality Act 2010.
Due to the nature of the role an enhanced Disclosure & Barring Service check is required before a final job offer is made. A criminal record is not necessarily a bar to employment with us.
