Sizewell Hall on the Suffolk coast. Hundreds of teenagers have enjoyed camping with us there over more than 25 years.
Summer 2013, 31st August - 4th September
Campers (ages 12-18 ...12 year olds must have completed year 7) do not have to be churchgoers or Christians but they should be interested in, or at least curious about, the Christian faith, and we do expect campers to attend all the organised teaching and worship sessions.
We have a high proportion of leaders to campers. The leaders are drawn from several denominations of local churches. Many are campers from previous years.
football, chilling on the beach, volleyball, walks, games, worship, mad activities, teaching, day out, the 'simulatiuon game'!
Music is very important to us and many young people have had the opportunity to develop their skills over the years at camp. Typically drums, guitars, trumpets, flutes, clarinets, violins, keyboards, etc are brought to camp... but best of all you DO NOT have to be an expert!
Teaching this year will be from Andy & Joy Clarke from Viz-a-Viz
We have the following aims, to;
1) encourage campers to develop their own personal relationship with Jesus Christ, based on the teaching and moral values of the Bible
2) encourage an ongoing attendance at a local Christian church
3) encourage committed Christians to grow spiritually and prepare themselves for future leadership
4) have a week of good fun and enjoy the beautiful surroundings of Sizewell Hall
Fees for 2013 include an early bird price - download a brochure for more details.
Fees cover all activities and meals, but there will also be the opportunity to buy tuck, etc. We recognise it may be difficult for some to find even the discounted amount and we would not wish anyone to be excluded on grounds of cost. Please speak to us in confidence, if you wish for financial help - we do have some assisted places available.
